The European Football Championship will finally kick off in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024. Whether Munich, Stuttgart or Gelsenkirchen - the matches will be played in ten cities, some of which are very different. And for many visitors, the question arises: Where is the best place to travel? What choice of hotels and serviced flats do they have? What are the local catering options and costs like?

Frankfurt is the best city for hosting the 2024 European Championships in terms of all these factors, an English-language games platform has just calculated. Frankfurt is the third cheapest city to fly to from London, the city has the most cafés and fast food restaurants, favourable transport options and the Deutsche Bank Park stadium is one of the best rated on Google. Berlin ranks second because of its popular Olympic Stadium and because it and the city as a whole offer the most affordable food and drink options. Gelsenkirchen is also in the top 3 for the same reason.

The next places are taken by Cologne with its particularly favourable flight options, Dortmund with the famous Signal Induna Park stadium and the cheapest accommodation offers, as well as Stuttgart, Hamburg and Düsseldorf. Bringing up the rear are Munich and Leipzig - the former due to high local costs, the latter due to expensive flight and taxi prices.

Feverish even on the apartment couch

Munich and Leipzig also offer a wide range of serviced apartments, which get cheaper the longer you stay before and after the football matches. Whether Adagio, Harry's Home or Brera - in Munich, some of the providers have several houses and also invite you to watch football on your own sofa in the apartment. Brera Serviced Apartments also has a property in Leipzig, in a renovated, historic auction building. Leipzig also has other exciting aparthotels such as the Felix Suites with a roof terrace and public viewing facilities or the Adina Hotel near the main railway station.

In Dortmund, the PM-AM Apartments and BaseCamp in particular welcome guests who come to the football city around the matches. In Stuttgart, you can share football emotions in original Brazilian flair with the many Brazilian employees at the Rioca Houses.

And Frankfurt and Berlin? Like Munich, they are already among the top 3 locations for serviced apartments. Whether Ipartment, Stayery, Adina, Adapt Apartments, Smartments or Citadines - some of them even have several addresses in both cities and have lots of fun activities in store for their guest communities during the European Football Championship.
